Description

Berlin's zoo is a unique and noteworthy attraction – not only is it Germany's oldest animal park, having been established in 1844, but it is also the most diverse in terms of species, and the most popular. Its current star attractions are two pandas from China, who can be spotted chomping on bamboo around the zoo. Home to nearly 20,000 creatures from 1,500 different species, the zoo also features orangutans, rhinos, giraffes, and penguins. Visitors can participate in scheduled public feeding sessions at various times of day; more information is available online and at the ticket counter.
