Description

U-Bahn station, famous for its underground parties

The Schlesisches Tor is a station the the Berlin U-Bahn circuit, on the U1 line. It was named after after a former city gate of Berlin, one of five, from which today only survive the Brandenburg Gate and the Potsdam Gate.

The Schlesisches Tor opened February 18, 1902, and was considered one of the most beautiful stations on the circuit. Aside its historic and architectural value, this landmark has entertainment value for the locals: go Friday night, there's always a good chance to stumble upon a spontaneous underground party.
