Description

The Oberbaumbrücke (1896) is an undeniable beauty, with its jaunty towers, turrets, crenellated walls, and arched walkways, and is Berlin's most striking bridge. Spanning the Spree between Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain, this architectural marvel seamlessly includes a steel central section, designed by Spanish bridgemeister Santiago Calatrava. During the summer months, street musicians and artists often transform the bridge into a vibrant party, drawing visitors from all over the city.
