Description

The iconic gold dome of the Neue Synagoge serves as a powerful reminder of the revitalized Jewish community in Berlin. Though the original building dates back to 1866 and was then the largest synagogue in Germany, it now functions as Centrum Judaicum museum and place of remembrance rather than a house of worship, although prayer services are still held inside. Visitors may climb the dome from April to September for a fee of €3 for adults and €2.50 for concessions.
