Park with orchard in Kreuzberg

Görlitzer Park is one of the major parks and recreation areas in Kreuzberg. It stretches over 14 hectares, and boasts a farm for children; several sports, games and football fields; a fruit orchard with apple and pear trees; two panoramic hills and a lake.

Görlitzer Park is a popular family destination, and a site for Summer picnics, grill parties and open-air events. Landmarks in the park include the Schreitender Mensch sculpture by Rüdiger Preisler; the remains of a pedestrian tunnel which are integrated into the landscape. As beautiful as the park is by day, beware that at nightfall it can be rather dangerous.
