The towering Funkturm, located by the trade fairgrounds, stands an impressive 129m high (14m with antenna) and is especially bewitching when illuminated at night. You can take in breathtaking views of the Grunewald and western city from the viewing platform at 126m or the art nouveau–style restaurant at 55m. Having sent out signals since 1925, the tower also aired the world’s first regular TV program 10 years later. However, due to high winds, the platform is sometimes closed. It's best to call ahead to make sure it's accessible.
