Description

Honoring the famous German architect

The Friedrichswerdersche Kirche-Schinkelmuseum commemorates the works and accomplishments of famous German architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel (1781-1841), who was behind many of the city's palaces, churches and monuments. Inside the museum are images and other memorabilia from Schinkel's works.

The Friedrichswerdersche Kirche-Schinkelmuseum also features works from a handful of other famous artists, such as neoclassical sculptures and portraits from Schadow, Rauch and others. The museum itself lies in the annex of the Nationalgalerie, at Friedrichswerdersche Kirche, which was designed by Schinkel as well.
