Description

The impressive neoclassical Old Museum boasts a Pantheon-inspired rotunda, accessed by a magnificent curtain of fluted columns. Within its walls lies a treasure trove of antiquities split across two floors. On the ground floor, sculptures, vases, tomb reliefs and jewellery tell the story of life in Ancient Greece. Upstairs, the focus shifts to the Etruscans and Romans, with the Praying Boy bronze sculpture and Roman silver vessels among the highlights. Those over 18 can also explore the "erotic cabinet" and view portraits of Caesar and Cleopatra.
